ABOUT CATS
Children Advancing Towards Success is a nonprofit organization that services children through educational, recreational and mentoring programs. We have been in existence for 20 years providing services to youth and families in the Cobbscreek area of Philadelphia. We started with 1 football team from 1 mans vision and over the years have grown to a family organization where men and women give back to the community and invest their time into the youth of the area.
Proprietor & Director

Darryl Johnson "Coach D" has a Bachelor degree in Social Work from Kutztown University and a Master Degree in Special Education from Cheyney University. Dr. Kim Johnson has both her Bachelor and Master Degrees in Special Education from Cheyney University. She obtained her Doctor of Education Degree from Nova Southeastern University. This dynamic husband and wife team work together to develop programs that community members join in to implement and uplift the community.

Our Mission
Children Advancing Towards Success offers a variety of programs that enhance the physical and cognitive abilities of all children. Through our programs we foster positive self-esteem and self-image. We believe all children are unique and have the ability to learn and thrive. As educators it is our responsibility to offer an environment that is stimulating along with the resources and tools to cultivate their gifts for self-actualization.
